This session will highlight new requirements set forth under SB 553.

By July 1, 2024, California employers must implement a workplace violence prevention plan and provide the first round of annual training.

During this informational webinar, employment attorney Jennifer McQuarrie will provide an overview of the legal requirements and highlight training resources available to ensure your community complies. We will also discuss best practices and tips regarding records retention.   

Please note that this webinar does not satisfy the training requirements for SB 553 but will only provide guidance on how to implement it.

This informational webinar will include a question-and-answer session.

Upon completion, participants may earn six continuing education units. The webinar will be 1.5 hours in duration.

Jennifer McQuarrie, owner of the Law Office of Jennifer McQuarrie, specializes in offering responsive, personal service to her clients.  Ms. McQuarrie draws on twenty-seven years of experience as a counselor and litigator.  Ms. McQuarrie represents employers throughout the state assisting employers to navigate California’s complicated employment laws.

Ms. McQuarrie started her career as a high stakes commercial litigator at Pillsbury Winthrop, an international law firm, practicing in areas of securities fraud litigation, lender liability litigation, employment law and general business disputes.  Since that time, she has focused her practice on employment issues and has represented employers in all areas of employment counseling and litigation.
