WMA LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE TO REVIEW, RECOMMEND FORMAL POSITIONS ON STATEWIDE LEGISLATION
The WMA Legislative Committee will soon be reviewing and recommending formal positions on all bills that directly impact the industry. WMA faces several formidable, legislative challenges this year, including SB 869 by Senator Connie Leyva. Opposed by WMA, the bill would require park managers to undergo state-led, 18 hours of mandatory training per year and certification. SB 869 will be heard on March 24 in the Senate Housing Committee. A comprehensive list of bills can be found on the Government Affairs section of the website, https://www.wma.org/
Next week’s Capitol Update will contain a chart highlighting the priority bills and the positions adopted by the Legislative Committee. This chart will be featured monthly in the WMA Reporter.
