The City of Banning had indicated they will make a presentation
to their City Council in March about mobilehome rent control and
receive direction on how the City Council wishes to
proceed.
WMA will host a Zoom chat on the first Thursday of each month.
These informal discussions will focus on trending, pertinent
topics. This free event does not require registration.

staffing-related issues of interest to the manufactured housing
industry.
For the past 25 years, WMA and Pan American Insurance Services
have partnered together to provide discounted Group Workers’
Compensation Insurance to industry members.
This special program, tailored specifically for the mobilehome
park industry offers a 15% discount to qualifying communities. In
addition to discounted rates, Pan American Insurance Services has
provided outstanding service since 1997.
In late 2015, the California Public Utilities Commission issued a
decision that ordered the utilities to issue a semi-annual bill
credit to residential and small business customers. The
credit is from a state government program that requires power
plants and other large industries that emit greenhouse gases to
buy carbon pollution permits from auctions managed by the Air
Resources Board.
